MADD
The mission of Mothers Against Drunk Driving is to stop
drunk driving, support the victims of this violent crime and
prevent underage drinking.
SADD-Illinois
Originally, the mission of the SADD chapter
was to help young people say "No" to drinking and driving.
Today, the mission has expanded. Students have told us that
positive peer pressure, role models and other strategies can
help them say "No" to more than drinking and driving. And
that is why SADD has become a peer leadership organization
dedicated to preventing destructive decisions, particularly
underage drinking, other drug use, impaired driving, teen
violence and teen depression and suicide.
AAIM
The Alliance Against Intoxicated Motorists (AAIM) is an
independent non-profit organization founded in 1982 by
families who had lost loved ones in drunk driving crashes.
AAIM was Illinois' first citizen action group dedicated to
the fight against driving under the influence.
Governors Highway Safety Association
The Governors Highway Safety Association (GHSA) is a
nonprofit association representing the highway safety
offices of states, territories, the District of Columbia and
Puerto Rico. GHSA provides leadership and representation for
the states and territories to improve traffic safety,
influence national policy and enhance program management.
Its members are appointed by their Governors to administer
federal and state highway safety funds and implement state
highway safety plans

Illinois Traffic Safety Challenge
The Illinois Traffic Safety Challenge is coordinated by the
Illinois Association of Chiefs of Police - Traffic
Committee, and is designed to challenge police departments,
county sheriff agencies, state police districts and other
law enforcement agencies to tackle the traffic safety
problems in their jurisdictions in unique ways. Applications
are due in April of each year for efforts conducted during
the previous calendar year.
National
Safety Council
The National Safety Council is an international public
service organization dedicated to educating and influencing
people to prevent accidental injuries and deaths. Founded in
1913 and chartered by the U.S. Congress in 1953, the NSC is
the only organization promoting safety in the workplace, in
transportation, and in homes and communities.
